Hi, sorry to dredge up this old thread, but I don't have enough posts to send a private message to RFC. I have an old cateye solar that I still use. The cadence sensor cable broke and even though I spliced it together, it won't display the cadence. I'd be interested in purchasing your unit for parts, if you'd be willing to sell it. If you keep it, you can buy replacement batteries that will work, just not the rechargeable type. If interested, I can track down the number of the battery for you, they last about a year. Thanks, Tom The battery you'd need to replace the sr44r is a Duracell 303.
