Bikes: 8

Dated, it was 1988, a group tour , 2 days ahead , we checked the group's bikes in at the Paris Station , Ticketed for Bern CH.

then , later , those 2 days, took the TGV to Lyon, then changed trains to Bern, the bikes were waiting for us at the station, in Switzerland.

the Bikes were transported by a slower train over-night, I expect. may have even been some on each of 2 nights ,IDK .

SNCF have suggestions?

Like not having it on the same train, (as above) or taking the slower trains which did have a car to carry bikes .

In My case.. the bikes were still whole, rolling on their wheels..
I think they draped plastic over them, perhaps for chain-grease barrier for the baggage handlers ..

Do it often enough , Brompton Folders are nice..
