Nope. Went for an errand on our bikes and I ran down to the basement to get our bike helmets. My wife did not even consider wearing hers because we were not going for a "real" ride. Anyway, we put them on and then a few minutes later I got clobbered while standing still at a stop sign. Was very happy to have been helmeted. To me, bike ride = helmet, car ride = seat belt, walking = wearing shoes. It's just how I roll.

And for the sweaty heads, sweat dries faster than skin heals...

I did forget once and pulled out on a crit course for a warmup and got yelled at by a safety official.

At my last few races, I heard the event organizer give people a hard time for riding to registration without a helmet on. I tend to agree with that as there are so many bikes, cars, and people darting around everywhere.
