A) Because it's extra weight, and with my old Kona I got used to a very light bike.
B) Because I like a rigid fork better. It just feels tighter and more responsive.
I'm more than happy to pay LESS than $800, but I'd rather have a sh*t-hot rigid bike than an OK suspension bike :-)
