Bike Box feedback
Hi, Unfortunately I have this job that gets in the way of my fun. As a result I'm working on the Trans Am in segments. My last segment the return trip was easy. I rented a car home and started from home here on the east coast. My next segment is 800 miles further away from home and renting is out of the question. After careful research on all modes of transportation, costs, arrival and departure locations and travel time, I've concluded that the best bet for me is to go Greyhound. I plan to use it to get to my next starting point and the return trip 2 weeks later. Another advantage is the bike will be under the bus and I personally handle it myself. Thing is I will have to box the bike. Air Caddy is nice but pricey. E box requires more take down of the bike but its cheaper. Once at the starting point I want to get going and not spend time tweaking the bike. Then on the way back I would have to get another box. Anybody got any great ideas on this bike box issue? Make my own? Guess a bike shop would help at the return end. Thanks for your assistance in advance. Sport
