You may also want to inspect your headset stack, specifically if you are running multiple carbon spacers. Under heavy load, they can rub/shift and click - I had this problem on my CAAD10. I've ordered a larger single spacer to minimize/eliminate this noise.
You may also want to slightly increase the torque on your headset top cap.
I don't think this will do what you think it will do: increase the tension between the spacers underneath the stem. The headset stem cap with compression plug is used for pre-load; once the stem is mounted and tightened, the stem cap is no longer needed in fact. I actually loosen it afterwards.
