TwinStik control trick -- one can grind down the stop to increase lever travel. I had to do this to accommodate a SunTour VGT rear derailleur on the bike I built for my wife. (Currently my UO-8; for her, it had Peugeot UO-18-style nearly-straight handlebars, TA Professional crankset, TwinStiks, and 52-42 / 16-18-21-24-32 gearing.)
