Also came with metal and leather washers and a long bolt incase you have no front brake and want to mount through your fork. Its got a slot to connect it to the crossbar between the chainstays(Not sure of technical term) But It suggest filling the gap with a cork which I have yet to acquire. The back fender had a plastic and a metal Tab that could be fitted and attached to the rear brake as well. Im not a big fan of riding in the rain or wet conditions so hopefully I dont mind the lack of coverage on the front wheel. I've just really wanted some fenders for the bike and when I these online I knew I had found my set.
Your fenderline looks really pretty good to me, but if you do want to close the gap more down at the chainstays the cork suggestion by the manufacturer is a good one. I did that with the Honjos on my commuter. I cut the cork down to size (for me, I used about 1/3 to a half of it), drilled a hole through it, and then ran that bolt through it, using it as a spacer. Of course, you'd have to dismount the rear fender to so though. Like I said, looks good to me!
One thing to consider if you do add the cork though, is that it is likely to put more stress on the fender (bowing it more) and metal fenders are prone to cracking and shearing.
