Bikes: Old Steelies I made, Old Cannondales

Every once in a while we get people that ride at a cadence of 50 in their big gear and think that a bigger chainring or smaller cog will make them faster. Rather than getting fitter and pedaling their existing gears at a higher cadence. Here we go again ?

On the other hand, if the biggest gear is 48 x 14, I could see spinning it out here & there. Swapping out the cassette might be simpler if you can go smaller.
