The term jinxed in mild in your statement. We ran Tuffy liners in our tires without a puncture flat. Then one day at a lunch stop in Conshocken I commented to a woman the the use of the liners saved us from flats for 5 years. Averaging about 2,500 miles on each of our bikes per year. We then headed back to the starting point. Going maybe one mile when the wife's rear tire went flat. Pulled the tire and tube. Close inspection showed nothing. Put in the spare tube. She rolled about 20 feet and flat again. Pushed bike 5 miles to the car. At home I found a thin sliver of glass in the tire. Which went right through the Tuffy Liner.
Following week a similar thing with the front tire on my bike.
Moral of the story. Pride cometh before the flat! Possibly. No pride no flats.
