I just got done cleaning it up. It is in stellar condition, and appears to be a 1987 based off the circled 7 on the back of the crank arms. All it needs is new cables, housing, and tape. Tires seem to be OK. It really is the perfect size for me... 60cm c-t ST and 57cm c-c TT. I guess the color will have to grow on me, especially for a $60 bike. I'll take some better pics of it tomorrow. Oh, it has SunTour dropouts.
