My wife has a Cateye Solar on her early 1980s Colnago Super. Batteries had depleted to the point that it wouldn't display anything even in full sunlight. I recently put new rechargeable batteries in it and it came back to life after 20 years!
i don't if you'll see this, but the bike i just bought came with this. what sort of battery did you put in it? the owner told me it needs a special type.
