There are 200 million cars in the United States. If the owners of these cars would park their cars occasionally and ride a bike 500 miles a year for commuting and running erands, etc., that equates to 5 billion gallons of gasoline saved each year, eliminating our dependence on foreign oil. (Then we wouldn't have to go to war with Iraq.)
