Tullio is unhappy with me
I took the Masi out for a spin this afternoon. It has been a while. While the Masi has been sitting idle I've been assembling a Centurion Ironman, and eventually riding a few times. So today I discovered that the Masi's FD wouldn't shift onto the small ring. The cable would go slack but the cage would move only a little. I could push it over okay, but it was sticking enough that the spring wasn't enough to move it. I think St. Tullio isn't happy that I've been working so hard on a Japanese bike with all Shimano drivetrain components.
When I got home I oiled the FD pivots and it seems happier now. A little attention goes a long way, I guess. I may also pray to my Italian ancestors (my mother's family) for a little mercy.
