How so? I haven't noticed any issues with mine. I could probably get rid of the RD one, it's useless. The FD one is handy.

I CALIFORNIA cross my cables. I live in California, I thought it was mandatory. Actually, the cables look better at the head tube & bend less, and unless it's my imagination it gets the cables away from the downtube walls inside the tubing.

Regardless, i have no issues with concealed shift cables (SRAM Red). I haven't used my old 6500 shifters in a while but I didn't have any issues when I switched.
