First half of this year, getting ready to do Dirty Kanza (204 miles of gravel in one day) I was doing 1500 mile plus months.
I wouldn't want to do that on a regular basis. To me it would get very monotonous; and in terms of being fit, and a strong rider, 800 miles a month of quality work, with planned rest, will get make you faster than tons of unstructured miles just riding around.
1500 miles per month is a boatload of riding! How many hours a week were you riding?
