It needs an (apparently) hard-to-find rechargeable battery. However, I took the old battery out, got the part number, Googled it and hit pay dirt. Unfortunately, after about a month or so the computer died again. Not sure why - perhaps the solar cells were shot. The computer was subsequently consigned to the graveyard of non-functioning electronic devices.
