Another plus with several of the GB sites is that you can mix and match components from different levels, and see a price reduction by doing so. If you piecemeal a Shimano or SRAM groupset, the bleeding doesn't stop.
I certainly can't say that you didn't make the right comparison, but as I said above, price equivalence was always the way it was done. My question is what happens when you start at all three company's top of the line and assume performance equivalence? Then work your way down one level at a time.
