Removing tube from bike that was 20+ years in storage.
I finally got around to taking tubes & tires off my recently acquired Centurion Super LeMans that sat 2 plus decades in storage. I fought extracting the front tube for 20 minutes, trying to get all the air out. Finally was able to pull it out, cursing the old "Centurion" brand tires for their incredibly tight fit or the Araya rims, or the undersized tube or my inability to pinch the damn tire off the bead down into the tape. I finally pull the tube and it feels odd, like its half filled with something akin to memory foam or old tire sealant or? The Centurion came from Idaho so maybe the prior owner put some hinky sealant or funky tube in it. Probably dried or? after years of resting. What a pain. Should have cut the tire off as its pretty much decrepit.
