Ooh, one more thing has quickly become a peeve... It's happened twice this past week but never before.
Yesterday, coming up to a red light in the right lane at one of the busier intersections, I pull to the middle of the lane to hold it. The light turns green, and we start filing forward, rather slowly. There are 5 cars in front of me, most turning and one going straight. Finally it's time for the car in front of me to go through the intersection. She doesn't use her turn signal, but I can tell by the way she's slowing down that she's going to make a right turn. Right when she would normally make her turn, she slams on the brakes. I skid to a halt ending a bit closer to her bumper than I'm comfortable with, and look in confusion at the driver.
She is smiling, WAVING FOR ME TO FILE PAST HER ON THE RIGHT.
With a look of incredulity, I shake my head "no" and vigorously wave her on.
Similar situation happened a few days earlier, except it was in the flow of traffic rather than at a light. A guy was turning into a parking lot, but thought it might be nice to yield to the person behind him...
