Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

Teflon is white and the carrier use for it is typically a light oil or OMS so I don't think it was the cause of the stain. It could have been graphite which has no relationship to Teflon.
