It's happened to me too, more like a "squishout" than a blowout. Twice, on the front tire on left turns which is scary. But they were pinch flats which brings up a question. Are somewhat worn tires really more prone to flats than are brand new tires, or is that just an assumption? Really worn tires, with threads showing or even worn through, I'd rather replace it than rotate it, but with wear somewhere short of that do we truly know that it makes a difference?
