I broke out the patch kit for my tyre. Inside are five patches. I go to apply the self-vulcanizing fluid and discover the tube is empty. How? I've still got all these patches and I don't remember running out of glue at my last repair.

It may be that I have another tube that got separated somehow. But if I don't find it, can I substitute some other kind of glue?
