I think that is the previous iteration of the jacket (and the one I have).
Kinda funny because I consider the lack of a front pocket to be a plus instead of a minus, probably because I don't ride all that much in the rain, and have no need for one. More pockets = less packability.
That brings up an interesting thing I've noticed among cyclists. I see a lot of people riding with tiny ... I mean TINY little seat bags. Just enough for a spare tire and a CO2 cartridge. And they'll have the rear pockets of their jersey packed like hamster cheeks with all kinds of stuff.
I've always been of the school that weight is best carried on the bike, not the person. So I much prefer a good sized seat bag and to keep my pockets as empty as possible. It may make the bike look fat, but better the bike than me. And frankly, I'd rather have the weight on the bike than on my arse, feet, and hands.
I do appreciate the waterproof front pocket on the Showers Pass Elite 2 ... good place to keep a camera handy and dry.
