She is the cycling fashion editor for a magazine who works in the building. she lobied in the past to have a bike rack installed and one day there was one so she parks. She gets a ticket warning her that it is for temporary parking only; however no sign is posted. She shares the ticket on twitter and soon it becomes a big debate so the media picks up the story.

Now there seems to be a debate on BF that she should pay the fee and park her bike in a room without knowing anything about it (how much it would cost, how large it is, how secured it is). Did I miss anything?

What if car parking is free for company employees but you have to pay to park your bike, would that change peoples opinions? What if the bike room is unsecured, about the size of janitors closet, compete with other bikes for limited space, and have nothing to secure it to in the room; is that the best alternative? I guess I need more information .
