it looks like flights from oakland on southwest are running about $250 right now, if you leave on friday and return on sunday.
ugh. just called southwest and they charge $50 each way for a bike. i'm pretty sure that fedex ground only costs about $30 each way, but it takes god-knows how long.

anyone got any clever ideas how to get around this, or do we just suck it up?
