the roads are pretty rough at jtree even though they did redo a section of the road up by hidden valley campground a couple of years ago. i went climbing out there and took my road bike with me to ride on rest days. i did rides from hidden valley campground to the nomad climbing shop(where the road into the park intersects the highway) and back, and it was windy and cold. in the end, i didn't feel like it was worth the hassle of dragging my bike along on a climbing trip. jogging on rest days is easier.
