Bikes: Ibis Cousin It converted to a drop bar dirt road cruiser, True North Ti Tandem, garage full of half bikes

We converted both tandems to drop bars this summer and my wife is much happier. Now, she does a lot of riding and racing on her own road and cross bikes so her objective was to mimic the position from bike to bike which we achieved.

I haven't gone back and checked GPS ride data from previous years yet, but I believe that we are descending significantly faster than we used to. Sue is able to tuck completely behind me on descents so the aerodynamics are much better. She feels more comfortable sprinting in the drops than on the bullhorns.

We also had a good laugh buying the new stoker bars, because of course the primary concern was my ability to fit my butt between the drops so that's how we "tested" them in the store
