Love those Phils - I have an original version of his Hi-Low with the stainless steel barrel. Pretty and beautifully functional hubs

Keeping with the current focus on hubs, this special wheelset (OMAS hubs) is on the way from Vienna, destined for my gold Mexico:





They're mated to FIR EA65 rims; the skewers still have the original steel/alloy ends, with a little fading patina. The seller was awesome: over-the-top helpful and included an unused set of Gommitalia tubulars, new rim tape and checked the current tires/glue for me. He was ready to re-glue them just in case after I described the limitations inherent at my current remote location

The perfect finishing touch for the Mexico. Finally I will get the weight down to around 20lbs or a little less with a tubular wheelset - one with some extra-special cachet!
