Hi all...new to the Miyata Family, is there a way to distinguish the year of a 312 using the serial number without looking through the catalogs for a paint schemes and components? Or was it not produced for a long period so it can be narrowed down relatively quickly with catalogs?

It is black with a silver headtube and silver front fork, full Shimano 105 6 speed...I will have to check the serial and post when I get home.
