Actually, the old Bike Ribbon stuff from the 80's had minimal perforations. At most, just one line of very small holes spaced about an inch apart at the middle portion of the tape, IIRC. So Having none or only a little perforation can definitely be considered period correct looking for C&V 80's/early 90's bikes.
