My son used the Specialized 23/25 on his Roubaix. I thought he got mediocre wear and flat protection, but he loved the way they handled and road. I think he replaced the rear at 3000 miles. My tricross sports gp4000s, but I have used 28mm Gatorskins on bad roads. I like the bike much better with gp4000s.
Coincidentally, I just make a post in another board about riding this same bike with a heavier 36h wheelset and 32mm tires - I'm not a fan. Slowsville. For whatever reason, the TriCross is not naturally a fast bike, you have lighten up the wheels substantially to get any performance out of it.
