no kidding you'll have pain after that duration of a ride w no biking experience. I don't think anyone on Earth would doubt that. Educate yourself on the core as a synergist to the kinetic chain of your body. The gluteus medius muscle for example, look up trendelenburg's gait. if your pelvis isin't stabilized while you're in the drops, trying to flex and extend the hip, you'll be wasting a ton of energy! It's honestly not that complicated.
Educate yourself. Understand what experts and PT's are referring to when they use the term 'core'. Read some biomechanical literature about the pelvic girddle.
I'm saying nothing about spending hours at the gym lifting heavy weights.
Just read some of the posts in this very thread (see page 1) and other 'core' threads on BF. There is ALWAYS someone recommending squats, deadlifts, et.c, and that's exactly what' I'm countering.
If you have better 'core' exercises that will apparently relieve back pain at 4 hrs of biking for beginners without spending time on the bike, feel free to share.
