If you have better 'core' exercises that will apparently relieve back pain at 4 hrs of biking for beginners without spending time on the bike, feel free to share.
nothing is going to alleviate LBP in a non-trained rider during a 4 hr ride. I said a agreed with that. that's just common sense. What I'm saying is, to the un-trained cyclist, experiencing these symptoms, with a properly fitted bike, will likely benefit from certain core exercises. I have some listed on page 1 if you'd care to refer back. non of which are dynamic, high-intensity exercises, but rather static, proprioceptive, isometric (in some cases) exercises. Which is the position the core must remain in during long bouts of cycling. See the connection?
I'm not advocating those other exercises, and from my review of the literature, experts in the field are not, either. Strangely enough, many of the exercises they are advocating, I've listed already.
