Really? you're serious?

You've been harping on the notion that "beach cruiser" will resonate more with young ppl, folks who go to "yahoo answers" for advice on Walmart bikes, and google searches. That's what made me bring up the term's popularity with with neophytes/non-cyclists, and the simple fact is, most serious cyclists use the term "beach cruiser" in a pejorative manner.

When I generalize about ppl, it takes a bit of gumption to assume I'm insulting you. Especially given some of the things you've directed at Brennan and I in this thread. I'm just saying, I've never heard an actual cruiser person use the term "beach cruiser" to describe anything other than an actual beach cruiser. Roadies will call some of my bikes "beach cruisers" in a dismissive way, and snooty non-cyclists have called it that in a hecklish manner, but cruiser folks tend to get more specific-- even whilst they're heckling.
