If it uses standard brake mounts then you should try the Shimano XT M785 hydraulic brakes with 203mm Ice Tech rotors in the rear and if you can squeeze them up front as well if not 180mm. You'll never complain about stopping power again.

The Ice Tech rotors are not included; they'll run you about $60 for the 203mm and $45 for the 180mm.

The M785 come as a kit so you don't need to bleed anything, just plug-n-play. Brake pads run about $24 each wheel when it's time for replacement.
