I'm only asking because while I'm not quite as fast as you, I've been on group rides on flattish ground where my avg speed for the 90 minute ride was 22-23mph, yet I'd guesstimate that the NP required for my effort (I did these rides prior to buying a powermeter) was less than 250 watts. Of course, wind and elevation def factor in, but just seems like if you're pushing 297 watts in a 4-man group on a flat course, you should be seeing 24-25mph.
In any case, that's a good showing. I don't think I'll be doing a 300 watt power hour anytime soon. (I'd have to become a pure cyclist for at least a year, based upon my 260ish FTP now as a triathlete.)
I'm 6'3" 185lbs. I thought the avg speed would have been higher than it was yesterday as it seemed like we were hitting 24mph a lot. But I guess the turns and the wind took their toll.
