One thing I will point out about my list is, it specifically targets bikes with noticably longer than standard chainstays. Hence, there are many so-called touring bikes not on my list. Even then, I don't claim or believe it is an exhaustive list of touring road bikes with long chainstays, but I think I hit most of the big brands.
I agree; this is a really important dimension on a touring bike. You can take care of pannier heel strike with a longer rear rack but the handling can suffer some in the process.
