Can I build off this Schwinn Le Tour?

Ok, so after all the good advice I decided the best course of action was to wait until something possibly suitable came along and just take my time. I figured it might take all winter-- no worries-- but then today as luck would have it actually stumbled across this vintage Schwinn Le Tour and bought it right on the spot.

There's no number on the front badge, so not sure of exact year, but is "Schwinn Approved" made in Japan plus with color/style, I'm guessing Bridgestone early 70s. ?? I generally know little about schwinns and it seems they made a gazzillion versions of the Le Tour, some better than others. THis one is pretty much all original, and cosmetically pretty good considering its been sitting in a garage for who know how long. Pic below if of it in its farm-fresh state, except I removed the original fenders in prep to clean.

The standover height is higher than expected, but it fits me great, especially when down low on the tour style bars. Not one of the classic models listed above, but wondering if it is more than ample to rehab and use for next season? Thoughts? If not, then I'd turn it into a commuter. In either case, was $25 and like I said, knew I'd buy it on the spot, though crossing my fingers she'll work out for touring. Any one with advice on going with one of these?
