I guess this gravel grinding thing may catch on as my club managed to draw 102 riders from all around Georgia for a dirt/gravel road riding event in central Georgia despite monsoon-like rainy conditions which put a layer of soupy red clay on top of our normally hard-packed roads. I mapped the routes on some of my favorite roads with route distance options of 14, 29, 43 and 60 miles. Everyone had fun and we plan to make it an annual event. Already looking into adding a century option and competition categories along with the recreational ride.
