My LBS has a NOS "road" drive-side arm with 52/40 steel rings (if I recall), the non-drive crank arm is missing, so it just sits as a dinosaur from the '80's. It's not "cool" enough, according to the 20 y.o. mechanic, to make it as glass case decor like the old Campy stuff. "Bio-Pace, what the heck is that?" This wet-behind-the-ears wrench has a collective bicycle understanding that starts with 9 speed... the other day I was in buying a few small bits and I heard him tell a customer that they don't make "8 speed stuff" anymore and the customer needs to upgrade. I'll assume that the kid, who happens to be the owner's nephew, is not into C&V based on his ignorant statement.
