go with eggbeaters, you can get a pair from performance for about 50 clams and they are the best for everyday use. a lot easier to get in and out than many others. If you are short on money just get the eggbeater C, they are plenty nice and get a cheap, but still comfy, pair of mountain shoes. The specialized hiking/mountain shoes are around 65 and are very comfortable and still look decent and you can walk around all day in them.
