Bikes: Giant Excursion, Raleigh Sports, Raleigh R.S.W. Compact, Motobecane? and about 20 more! OMG

So you want to license cyclists? What do you do if you want to ride with your family, ie; 6-12 year olds? At age 12 I was routinely riding my bike 6 miles to and from the public library. I primarily rode on back streets and crossed major roads using cross walks, per the family rules. With proper infrastructure an 8 year old or an 80 year old should be able to ride safely and not have to worry about battling traffic, which is what most VC folks seem to think EVERY cyclist should do. I believe I pointed out earlier that I have pretty much stopped riding on the road past my house because it has become unsafe due to excessive speed and traffic volume. How is licensing cyclists going to make that issue go away?
