Hi guys,

about 6 months ago i got myself a single speed beach cruiser 29er, since then ive been biking it everyday. I didn't know how much i enjoy biking by the beach. Few days ago a friend of mine made me try his road bike (i know, another planet obviously), super light, super fast and bad ass looking.

Now, i'm 30 years old, 6'3" and 225 lbs. I don't wanna get ripped off at my local bicycle shop so would like to get advice here on a good road bike. Possibly below $1000. Not the best bike ever, not the cheap Walmart crap. Id like to get a good product to enjoy more time cycling on the street.
