My great aunt was cremated and I ended up with her ashes for a week till I could drive them down south to be placed next to her last husband's ashes (she outlived several). I put them in the trunk but didn't think to mention to my wife. She went grocery shopping and was a bit creeped out when she realized the "package" among the groceries was Aunt Georgia.

My parents were cremated and their ashes spread at sea. I plan tho follow suit.
