People always seem to complain about the "I dropped that poser" threads on these forums, but hell, even Pee-Wee Herman fantasized about winning the Tour. Trying to go faster than that rider/that dog/that car is an almost reflex reaction for most of us. I'm the same way. Sometimes when I come up on another rider or almost certainly if one comes up on me I will up the pace a bit. If I get dropped, I will say something like "damn, you're killing me!" just before I give out. And if I drop him, I will always chat with him if we meet up at a light or something. Nothing wrong with a little street racing, just try not to take it too seriously.
