O.K. As a Trek guy I have to say that both brands are top shelf (C'Dale & Trek). As for feeeling short or tight fitting... that's a fitting issue, not a bike brand issue. I have owned three Treks including the two OCLVs I have at present. They are great bikes, but so are Cannondales. Yes... everywhere you go, you see people riding Treks.

Both brands will likely come with Shimano component groups, so just choose the one that rides the best and fits you best and use the logo on the bike as a side thought. Unless you have $1,800 or more to spend, you'll be looking at aluminum bikes in the C'Dale and Trek lines. Good luck! I'm sure you'll like whichever bike you chosse.
