I ride a Thorn Nomad, which is a beefy touring bike made to go off road. It has 26" wheels (up to 1.9" wide) which i think is good if you're adventurous and want to tour other parts of the world (nearly impossible to find 700c in China for example). It's English made, similar to the Bruce Gordon BLT but the geometry fit me better so that's what i went with.
