I think the newer saddles and proper fitting / postion make this a non-issue for most. 3 hours a week? Try a decade+ of 30-40 hours a 7 day week, short sprints 5 days a week and distance on the weekends. I'll admit I had fitting/saddle/soret ass from hell troubles for the first 6 months on and off, getting adjusted to that much time in the saddle. ED and sterility issues? No ED here, I've never looked into whether I'm sterile or not. Maybe I am sterile, never had any accidental kids that I know of...

If 3 hours a week is the danger line I could only think that recreational cyclists with bad positions are what he's working with. I've known many non messenger roadies who would do 20+ hours a week on again off again as part of their long term training regiments. Pro roadies, RAAM riders, tour guides etc blow 3 hours a week in the saddle out their left nostril.
