Too much socialising/human contact is exhausting, draining, and stressful ... but a solo bicycle ride, or a ride with someone close to me, is energising and de-stressing.
I've always been a bit of a "Lonewolf" type of a guy. I don't mind socializing once in a while with a small group of people, but I hate big noisy parties and avoid them. I have to deal with people 9 hours per day 5 days per week at my job. It's nice to come home and be homealone.
My family lives only 22 miles away from me out in a rural area. Easy for me to hop on my bike and visit them few times per year.
